He famously donned rump-enhancing, fluoro hotpants on holiday, so perhaps posing in barely-there briefs isn’t such a daunting task for the flamboyant footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Real Madrid star, 24, has been revealed as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear, filling the snug pants-sized space vacated by David Beckham, for spring/summer 2010. Beckham has modelled for the designer since 2007.

Ronaldo, who left Manchester United for the Real Madrid, in July, for a record £80million, raised eyebrows – and laughs – when he was snapped on holiday in Los Angeles, last year, in bottom-grazing shorts. (His buffed body did negate this sartorial faux-pas somewhat, even if his tan was a shade too close to David Dickinson mahogany for comfort.) His campaign images are yet to be shot.

And, in a move guaranteed to get men hot under the collar, the Transformers actress, Megan Fox, 23, will replace Victoria Beckham as the face of the women’s range.

The hotshot fashion photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, have already snapped Fox’s soon-to-be released campaign images. Cue the countdown…

Megan Fox who was said to have dissed her first big movie now told a reporter at the premier of her new movie Jennifer’s Body that she’s not enjoying that the media turns the words in her mouth. (?)

Maybe her role in her new movie is a bit to blame that she’s a bit bitchy right now. In Jennifer’s Body she plays a college girl with a demon inside and kills other students.

Megan Fox during a recent interview revealed she used to cut herself. In interview when they asked her if she struggled in cutting herself she said, “Yeah. But I don’t want to elaborate. I would never call myself a cutter. Girls go through different phases when they’re growing up, when they’re miserable and do different things, whether it’s an eating disorder or they dabble in cutting.”

Megan also said in interview how her sex symbol status was towards insecurity “I’m really insecure about everything. I never think I’m worthy of anything… I have a sick feeling of being mocked all the time. I have a lot of self-loathing.”

“Self-loathing doesn’t keep me from being happy. But that doesn’t mean I don’t struggle. I am very vulnerable. But I can be aggressive, hurtful, domineering and selfish, too. I’m emotionally unpredictable and all over the place. I’m a control freak.”

After the Transformers star compared Transformers director Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler, the film’s crew wrote an open letter to fans calling Megan “thankless, classless, graceless.”

“We’ve had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies,” they write. “We’ve spent a total of 12 months on set making these two movies… She’s as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom. She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she’s absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you. All the crewmembers have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back. It gets tiring. Many think she just really hates the process of being an actress.”

“[Bay] granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth,” they write. “She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina –- second thought –- she’s no Angelina. You see, Angelia is a professional.”

The crew members conclude: “It’s sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they’re really looking up to. But ‘fame’ is fleeting. We, being behind the scenes, seen em’ come and go. Hopefully Michael will have Megatron squish her character in the first ten minutes of Transformers 3.”

Bay, however, took to his own site to reprimand the unnamed crew members and Fox for their comments.

“I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan,” he wrote Saturday after the letter was taken down. “And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter is I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.”
